It's not quite a destination wedding but its a stepping stone. A friend of mine had plans to get married in Big Sur before Covid hit. After they had their make up Covid wedding at home they still wanted to go to Big Sur to have their wedding photos done. Of course I was excited since I haven't done a trip up the coast of California in a while. In addition to the wedding photos they wanted some panoramas of the coast, including 17 mile drive, which was new to me. A quick little review of that since it was a first for me: You're paying to drive through a rich neighborhood that has a few viewpoints of the coast. Just drive the coast on Highway 1 for free.

On to the photos in Big Sur. They wanted photos with redwoods, which baffled me because I've always associated Big Sur with the coast. I've never really thought about looking east when on Highway 1. Boy have I been missing out. We decided on Tanbark Trail and it was a great choice.
