World Cup was my first NXL event. It was also the first event I treated like a vacation. It's a rather weird feeling going to an event without any obligations. It opened me up to shoot some stuff I normally don't do. I broke out the speed-lights for a bit and shot some strobist stuff. It also allowed me to just walk around and shoot photos of people more. I got to wait for a shot I wanted, rather than snap something that works and move onto the next shot. Below is a good mix of some of those shots I got, along with a bunch of the regular action shots you would expect from me.
I'm really glad I got to get out to an NXL and see a bunch of familiar faces I haven't seen all season. Congrats to San Diego Dynasty on the well deserved win! I can't wait to see what the 2016 season has in store!
