Another year at Barrett Junction. Thanks to Lonnie for holding the race right before you leave for AZ! The road just keeps getting rougher. This year had major pot holes and bigger cracks. Barrett isn't about racing lines, its about the right line. And as Lonnie put it, sometimes, the right line isn't the racing line.
I used some speedlights more than I normally do. Had some issues with the triggers but ended up with some good shots in the end. All of the shots are done with 2 chinese speedlights and PocketWizards. I had a strobe I wanted to use, but couldn't find anyone to lug around the light and I didn't trust putting it on a stand around crashing skaters.
I did have plans to shoot some star trails but the weather didn't want to cooperate. It was completely cloudy with only a few stars visible. I still made sure to break out the trusty JOBY Gorilla Pod and shot a shot of our campsite for the night.
